COBI TOP GUN F-14A Tomcat
Experience the thrill of the skies with the COBI F-14 TOMCAT, a highly detailed model of the legendary American supersonic fighter. Designed for carrier-based operations, the real F-14 TOMCAT was famous for its variable-sweep wings and unmatched air superiority. Originally developed by the Grumman Corporation, it entered service with the U.S. Navy in 1972, serving as a fleet defender, tactical reconnaissance platform, and later, a ground-attack aircraft. Seventy-nine units were also exported to Iran, some of which remain in service today. The U.S. Navy officially retired the F-14 in 2006.
This aircraft cemented its place in pop culture history as the star of the 1986 blockbuster TOP GUN, where Tom Cruise’s iconic character Maverick flew the F-14A TOMCAT into cinematic legend.
Now, you can build your own piece of aviation and movie history with this exclusive 1:48 scale model, officially licensed by TOP GUN™ and Northrop Grumman. Made from 757 COBI construction blocks, the model faithfully replicates the aircraft’s design and markings seen in the film.
