One last Friday night to celebrate everything piston-powered.

Summer might be drawing to a close, but we’re not quite ready to call time on the season.

For one night only, Friday Night Social comes to The Motorist on Friday 18th September, bringing together cars, bikes and enthusiasts for one final evening meet of the summer.

We’re opening from 5pm until 8pm, and there’s no theme, no specific marque and no requirement to bring anything particularly exotic.

Classic, modern, modified, supercar, hot hatch, bike, 4×4, weekend toy or daily driver. Whatever you’ve got, get it out and get yourself down.

ONE BIG END OF SEASON MEET

It’s been another huge summer at The Motorist.

We’ve welcomed everything from classics and supercars to bikes, rally cars, modified builds and some properly weird and wonderful machinery through the gates.

So before the evenings draw in, we thought we’d squeeze in one more.

Friday Night Social is simply about getting everyone together, filling the site with a completely mixed collection of machinery and celebrating everything that makes the automotive community what it is.

No agenda. No judging. Just a proper Friday night surrounded by cars.

WHATEVER YOU DRIVE, YOU’RE WELCOME

Some of the best meets are the ones where you have absolutely no idea what’s going to turn up.

That’s the idea here.

Bring the garage queen. Bring the project. Bring the bike. Bring the daily you’ve somehow become far too attached to.

Old or new. Immaculate or properly used. Two wheels or four.

If it’s got an engine and you love it, we want to see it.

AND THERE’S A LITTLE SOMETHING EXTRA…

Friday evening also happens to fall on the night before Rally Legends, and things will already be getting rather interesting around The Motorist.

The HERO-ERA rally teams will be on site carrying out scrutineering ahead of the following day’s rally, as the competing cars are checked over and prepared before heading out across Yorkshire on Saturday morning.

With around 100 rally cars involved in the HERO-ERA Challenge Three, Friday Night Social could offer a fantastic opportunity to see some seriously special competition machinery arriving and being prepared around the venue.

One big evening meet with a rally paddock coming to life alongside it.

Not a bad way to finish the summer.

MAKE A FRIDAY NIGHT OF IT

Come straight from work, meet your mates here and spend the evening having a wander around whatever turns up.

The Drivers Lounge will be open throughout the evening, so grab some food, get a drink and settle in while the site fills up.

Whether you’re bringing something special or simply coming down to have a look, everyone’s welcome.
